Moby Dick in Washington DC

I ordered rice with falafels which were really dry. I think the staff needs some training on how to communicate with their customers. Before I left, I asked for a box to go, and the guy just disappeared without saying anything; I was waiting to get the box. When he showed up again after five minutes, he did not talk to me, but instead he glared at his employee to get me the box.

The food is amazing, have every last bit, will definitely visit when I am in this area again

Its kabob is very juicy and flavorful.

Cleanliness of store is excellent. Customer service is excellent. Food was excellent as well. Today was my first time at Moby's and I was very impressed. No more driving to Virginia for good kabobs.

It was good, it might not be the best Iranian restaurant, but i recommend it

The quality of food is not stable. Sometimes the chicken kebab is raw and sometimes is overcooked. The rice always is not cooked prefect. Just it’s good choice special persian foods such as Ghaimeh or Ghorme-sabzi.

Just try it. Fast and delicious food , very clean , nature friendly and nice /polite people. I will try it in all my trips to Washington and recommend it to all my friends as a nice friend recommended it to me today.

This Restaurant used to have the best food. So good that every time I was going to Syracuse NY to visit my daughters, I stopped by and got couple of foods to take to them but on this trip, March 2020, I came back to this restaurant and the food was really bad compare to the past. The beef kebab was chewy, tasteless and half cooked, so that in the middle you could see the raw grind meat which is not healthy at all. The first time I thought maybe that was accidentally but the second time I went there, it was as bad. So this restaurant goes on my NEVER AGAIN list.

Fast service, delicious Iranian dish. The amount of food in the plate is less than what is usually presented in Iranian restaurants.

The chicken kabob was outstanding but the beef gyro was horrible. I can do 1000% better at home. The meat was over cooked and the dipping sauce tasted more like lime then garlic. I would return but only for the kabobs.

Another winner for this area. Solid kabobs but I would like to also emphasize the service and the lunch specials. I had the baghali polo with lamb shank and it was delicious! I will go back more often just for this dish alone. Also the garden salad with salmon was very good.

Good food, but definitely a take out location. We are from out of town so we ate in the restaurant. It was definitely nothing special, but the food was very tasty.

Very tasty ingredients, freashly made while we waited at the table, the bread was baked in front of us, stake was perfectly cooked along with the spicey chicken served over rice and it was delicious. Little pricey but was worth trying it.

JUST GO THERE... Great taste, reasonably priced, great formula. Chicken breast pieces are great size. Keto friendly, I asked for spinach salad instead of rice and was very satisfied with the added olives and feta. I hope they keep the good work and not back up prices. I would have given five stars if setting was upscale but then they have to higher the prices.

Good food, slow service. The place is a chain for Persian food, and like any other chain it's consistently average food.

This place is such a disgrace for humanity. As far as you could get from being environmental-friendly. They use plastic for everything, forks, knives, glasses and so on. No tap-water in the restrooms and you don’t get much for the price you’re paying. There are better restaurants out there in the world than, and I’m sure you’ll anything better by looking every restaurant up before you take a visit.

Best persian food I've had in the US

Great food, some of my favorite food in the dmv is there. I think this ones food isn’t halal which is great, I don’t want it to be halal. I really like the chicken and the lamb there, the sauces too. Great food thank you all.

The bathrooms had feces on the toilet and when I told the manager he said yeah I know and proceeded to have side conversation. Even after I pointed out the caucasian woman who did it he dismissed it.

I love this place. Easily in my top 5 spots to eat in DC. The food is always amazing and the staff is very friendly. I've been told that this is the fast food version of kabobs but I don't care. I just love marinated chicken placed on top of white rice. I've really only ever had the Kabob-E Joojeh chicken and the lamb but when you find something that you love, why bother trying anything else? Really nice that they give you warm pitas bread with tzatziki and also be sure to try adding sumac on top of your rice. Another favorite to get if you like spicy sauce, try out the green chutney.Always good to either in in the restaurant or even get as take out.

Moby is usually a consistent location to location but this one is bad. The lady behind the counter is unnecessarily rude and aggressive. I suggest avoiding this place

Solid lunch spot in Dupont. I would preorder online 30 minutes in advance though– the line was quite long. Food was decent. Prices were great. Super accessible and friendly staff too.

I come here whenever I am in DC. Persian food is hard to make, but this place is awesome. It was packed today, but the service and food still came out fast and fresh.

I recently placed a large catering order for work and the staff executed it to perfection. I ordered 2 large corporate trays and stopped by early to check in. They had everything ready on time. The staff was kind enough to help me load everything in the car. I've always been a fan of their lamb kabobs, Moby's gyro and the kubideh. As for the event the salads, sauces and meats were prepared exactly how we wanted it. Portion wise they were reasonable and so were the prices. Highly recommend this location if you want to stop by for lunch/ dinner or have any catered events. While I was here they had plenty of large orders as well. This location is kept really clean and managed very well. They have a great Level Up rewards program. Parking here is really is with street and garage options.
